Pin for engine cover lock??? - Gem930 - 12-10-2025

Does anybody know where I can locate a pin for the engine cover lock on my 2002 couch (639)? I haven’t tried Newell yet, as I was hoping that it might be just a standard GM or Ford item that I could just pick up at Napa or maybe a junk yard.  Anyone ever try to source one?

Yes, sorry.  I pin or bolt that protrudes horizontally out the side of the opening for the back engine door that the lock hooks to.

I could not figure it out either. But now I am thinking you are talking about the striker pin for the rear hatch latch? Most auto parts stores should have the strikers, look in the dorman section, your going to need to match it up.

yea, it is just a standard striker pin. i have an 02 as well
