Going to look at a 1997 Newell this week in NJ, looks to be coach #460 anything to look out for wondering why it’s been for sale for over a year. Thanks

If you search this site you will find posts covering buying used Newell. It’s not unusual for a coach to be in the market for a year. Older coaches are more difficult to get financed.

Look for rust, Look for water intrusion..
Check the
A/C's they can be costly to repair
Aqua hot
water line leaks
Tire date codes
Battery Dates house and chassis
leveling system
generator
Those are some of the big items. Repair on these items adds up quick

Lack of maintenance adds up quick, my coach sat for 2-3 years and I am still bringing it up to date.
Anything rubber needs to be looked at. Airbags for these are not your average bags, lots of things like that can add up quickly. So even a fairly well cared for coach is going to have needs. Just have to decide how much you can handle.
Are you able to work on it yourself? If not then you can double the cost of most repairs if not more.
There is a section of the forum dedicated to what to look for when buying a Newell, I would suggest reading as much as you can there.
