I'm new to the Newell world and understand that Newell did not provide the full engineering documentation when a coach was delivered, maybe still same policy today.
I guess I've been spoiled as my bus conversion has complete, detailed build specs. Everything is documented, wiring, electrical, plumbing, heating system, etc. Every wire is numbered on each end and described in the wiring list. It has made maintaining the bus incredibly easy to track, trace, diagnose, and resolve any and all issues.
So, what reason would Newell have to block release of these documents? Has anybody been able to obtain a full set of build docs from them, even accepting all printing and pre costs?

As far as I know that is a deadend. I am not explaining or defending I have seen a few schematics over the years and a bill of materials once. It may be different for recent era coaches

they are not really blocking them. for the older coaches they just dont have much.
no wiring diagrams, no master parts list etc. i did an experiment working with karl blade on getting all the info they had on my 2002 coach 608 and it wasnt much. in fact many of the part numbers for items were not real part numbers but newell coach part numbers. and for big things, like the chassis and drive train it was one newell part number.
the rationale was that they didnt have the manpower to do it with the small number of coaches they were building
