Bay Door Skin Repair Video - [email protected] - 06-05-2026

So I just completed repair on one of my bay doors. I went the Richard inspired route and adhered the door with Thixo. 

Anyway here is an advance sneak peek at the video that will be public on Saturday:

Good video Jeff, you might try using a DeWalt multi-tool with a flat blade. It takes that 3m double sticky off tapeoff the metal in the blink of an eye.

3M Adhesive remover for the tape removal.

Good mention on using the spacer, I learned the spacer was absolutely essential for the epoxy bond to hold over time.

Add a fillet of epoxy, especially at the corners, between the door skin and the frame.

Thanks Jack, a reason for me to get one. Believe it or not I do not have a mult-tool yet. Mine will be a red version, since I have all the batteries already.

Thanks Richard, I will look into the 3M adhesive remover. Good idea on reinforcing the corners with a fillet of epoxy. 
Yea the spacer is definitely a good idea, makes it easy to get a uniform gap.
