Please sign petition to keep campgrounds open during this CV
#1

It seems that campgrounds are being closed due to the Coronavirus.....such as Florida State Campgrounds starting this Friday.   Truck/Camper magazine has begun a petitions asking that this be stopped — here is the article, and the petition — as there is danger that all campgrounds could follow suit....and many live in their coaches, RV’s - what then.  The petitions suggests very reasonable rules that could be followed and still keep campgrounds open.   I am attaching the link.....please read and sign....

Thank you —

Being full timers we share your feelings regarding campgrounds closing in light of the pandemic. The problem for various governments, federal, state and local is employee safety. Any measures that they can take to remove workers from harms way they will. Keeping campgrounds open means someone has to supervise them, clean them amd come in contact with the general public.

As full timers,we need to "hunker down" until this passes. Any location that we find that will take us and is safe is where we need to be. Being about 8 weeks behind China , we have a very clear road map as to what our very near future looks like.

Best wishes to all our guru friends to be smart and stay safe.

I totally understand what you are saying....but, for instance, we are in the Gulf Coast of MS, been in process of putting house on the market and cleaning it out with sales, etc.....and now, soon, have to begin our trek first, to Miami, OK for some needed work on the coach, and then to Wakarusa, IN, for another appt. for maintenance.....then on to Northern NH to stay for at least a month for family —- and if campgrounds are closed, we have no way to accomplish this.....I would hope there can be some way for campgrounds to figure out how to stay open...perhaps close bathrooms if they can’t clean them....have the office closed but a way to pay for your time there....I don’t know the answers, I just hope they can be thoughtfully arranged. Keeping our distance from others is important....how to do it can be a process. If those self-isolation rules can be effectively utilized, we will all be safer.
