Slide seal disconnect
#1

How can I make the slide seal NOT air itself up after the ignition key is off?

My slide seal regulator has a shut-off valve with it.  So once the slide seal is deflated shut of the air.  Speaking of "deflating" you will notice a vacume pump in the air circuit.  This mod comes highly recommended from the Gurus on this site.

every coach i have worked on has a ball valve right at that place that steve shows.  however, most have a small one with knob and not a handle like the one steve shows.  i think his has been replaced.  i have had to replace them on 2 different coaches as they are prone to leak

here is a picture of what is on most of them

Thanks! I installed the air pump/deflator several years ago but don’t remember seeing a valve (or didn’t install one - will check in the morning as we will be re-welding it all again :-(
