Engine compressor filter?
#1

I have the TU-501 compressor on my 8v92. Is there an intake filter for those? I haven't contorted myself to crawl over the engine to see. Or is it piped into the main air filter?

I did not see one when I replaced the coolant lines going to it.

Typically there is not. When I had my classic coach, Newell plumbed a hose from the air compressor intake to the engine air inlet after the air filter, pre engine turbo.

I had actually added an air breather kit, or filter to the air compressor. It is possible, I just don’t remember what it’s called, I think I found it listed from the manufacturer of the compressor. I would have to see if I still have records of it, that was 5 years ago.

My compressor Inlet is plumbed in between engine air cleaner and turbocharger as Johnny Boy describes.

I was wondering what this hose was for. Thanks for clarifying. Builds up my knowledge. Makes sense that it is already filtered air.
