I have been following a lot of of you guys’s post and I am extremely happy that I found this website. I have some experience with the Diesel pusher as I solo traveled in a 2005 Alfa gold 39’ Diesel pusher for about 2 1/2 years it was nice, but this thing is like 1000 times better.

it’s in a little bit of rough shape as it has sat for about six years I believe the motor sounds beautiful, but pretty much nothing on it works lol maybe one of the ACs out of the three, but I think with you guys’s help in a little bit of money ((maybe a lot)) I can get her back on the road. She already has brand new tires.

I’m hoping to find someone who is mechanically inclined in the Texas area before I go long distance. I’d like to see what I can do by myself and then I would love to maybe go buy someone else that is like way more knowledgeable on all the systems to see if maybe they can help :-).

As you can see some of the pipes are busted :-(I’m guessing they forgot to winterize it when the father got sick Only thing I could get to work was one of the ACs two of them are still pretty warm, but I was using a 5000 W Ot Gen Generator because I couldn’t get the 17.5 on board Generator working, but I suspect it’s because the batteries are too low and it’s not enough fuel so I think once I put the new batteries in there and put some diesel in there, then I can start troubleshooting the generator.

What can we say but Tom and Darlene have been absolutely wonderful to work with and this is my first big coach. So I am a bit overwhelmed and trying to slowly get a grip on all the learning. We picked it up at their place and spent a couple of days going over things and getting all new tires. We drove it back to Tn where we reside in Nashville. We love the bus and have been on a few trips but I am using it now mostly to go to work in atlanta and then back to Nashville. Yes I have a retail store in Atlanta that has been there for 32 years.
That's all for now but wanted to say Hi!!! I am sending his license plate back to him! lol. its the guru plate

BUT....... then I came across the invertor style "U" shaped AC units. Initially I dismissed them but the more I think about it, I am wondering if I might be doable. The entire unit would fit in the area where the TV was. I would obviously need to install a compartment to speperat the two halves and some ducting to get the air into and back out of the condenser, which would necessitate some custom ducting and grills on the sides and maybe the front of the coach. Also need and option to deal with the condensate, but these do not seem any harder than installing both the evap and cond and fishing the line-set from one to the other. The obvious benefit would be reclaiming the storage. One issue may be that it will likely be louder than a true mini split (though, according to YouTube videos, still much quieter than a standard RV roof unit. I am thinking a thick foam wall where the window normally would be with a tinted black plexi sheet to separate the hot side from the cold side and help keep the noise down. Thoughts???? Check out U shaped ac units on amazon and Youtube.]]>

Under much consideration we have decided to sell our 1999 Newell Coach. We have owned "HEAVY METAL"
for 20 years and have enjoyed all of them. In the last few years, the coach was not taken on any measurable thrips
because of health issues and my 84 years on this beautiful planet.

Today I noticed a top front marker light on my 09 is out.
Anyone know if this is something that can be changed out easily? I am pretty handy!!!!
Is the bulb reachable from the outside or from the inside of the coach? Also what type of bulb is used?
I have not had a chance to grab a ladder and climb up yet and figure I ask first.
Also is there a gasket that should be replaced?
