Hi guys,

I did this a few weeks ago, but thought I would share in case anyone else need the info.

I upgraded both TV's (front / bedroom) with these Samsungs from Amazon, very pleased with the connectivity and able to rapidly change channels or services (some TV's are just slow). These fit perfectly in my spots. The old TV's were very very heavy. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DXMT9GXD?ref...in_title_3

I updated the dash stereo, that also powers the bose speakers for full surround from the TV (via bluetooth). I thought it was from Amazon, but can't locate it.

New backup camera and other cameras, mounted above drivers seat: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DT62TYXS?ref...asin_title

Good morning

I’m new to the Newell family having bought my first one just a few months ago. I’m having issues with the televator (tv lift). The tv lift is an activated decor lift. I was out camping and lost all power one evening, while the tv was up. After restoring power, the tv lift will not go back down. When I flip the switch to retract the tv it just makes a beeping sound. It seems like I may need to do a reset or reprogram the limits or something along those lines. Problem is I don’t have a manual in all my info. I’ve called activated decor and received a voicemail where I left a message. After no response I emailed their info email address and still have not received any response from them. It’s been about 10 days now. Does anyone on here have a manual or a procedure for setting limits or resetting the lift? I’ve read that there is a control box for these and there is a reset inside that box, but I don’t seem to see any type of box in the tv cabinet area. I have attached a photo of the remote control for the lift.

Hi Newell Forum

Not sure if I am posting this on the correct spot on this forum

We have coach 1624
It is a P50
Age 2018
Have Intrepid system 1.0 (I think)
Have crestron ( icon is pink cyclone looking icon and color) software on ipad to manage all coach functions

I went on vacation and my son brought his Starlink with

With such great internet I thought it a good idea to upgrade the two ipads in our coach to the newest IOS

We had 13 version now upgrade to 18
Unfortunately we bought the coach used and dont have the email or password for the previous own unavailable - we know who previous owner was but he did not know his own password so we cant truly access the edit functionality to make the system our own

So we created new icloud account to sign in

Now the ipad is telling me that the crestron software needs to be upgraded

When we go to the crestron’s website it does not have the same pink/ red icon version - actually says has been discontinued and has other versions

So the question is did the ipad software just mess everything up to the point of no return with the previous functionality?

Does anybody know if one needs the old version to be reinstalled to make the Intrepid system work again

Would upgrading to the new system think Intrepid 2.0 now be the the only option to get all functionality back on the ipad system?

Appreciate any and all advice

Will call Newell next week when back - might be the only option I now have

Thanks guys!

I installed a Starlink Mini on the roof inside the Winegard RoadTrip Mission TV Antenna Dome. I took the dome off of the roof (8 nuts, unplug 3 cables) and removed the satellite TV antenna from inside the dome. The Starlink Mini comes with a pole mount adapter, I cut a piece of tubing and welded a mounting plate to it. I mounted the assembly to the dome base and installed the Mini on it. I scrounged around the shop and found 2 power connectors that fit the Mini. I installed one on the each end of the RoadTrip power cable (inside the dome and inside the TV cabinet), plugged one end into the Mini and the other end into the Starlink Power Adapter. I plugged that into 120VAC behind the TV. It works great!

There are 6 screws that hold the dome on. It's easy to remove the Starlink Mini if I want to take it with me on a different adventure.

I am looking for an amplifier for 4/5G (LTE) AND WiFi in one unit. Does NOT need to have a Sim card slot nor routing capability.

I am looking to take my phone's hotspot and use it in the coach. I already have a working router, just need better signal in our aluminum "faraday" cage of a coach.

So I need better signal inside for cellular. AND I'd like to have it do WiFi amplification as well, for when the campground has it's own WiFi since my mobile router, when inside has an artificially shortened range.

Does this animal exist? Manufacturer? Model number(s)

Thanks!

This is unabashed coach pimpage, I admit.

It is also a tale about scope creep, but one with a good outcome. I had a Sony head unit, that was connected to a remote CD player. These days Rhonda and I just hooked our phones through a AUX in cable to listen to tunes. When it became time to switch phones to permit fair play time for HER music, I did not like her standing up in front of the windshield to switch the phones. That glass is not going to hold anyone in if you hit something. So I started to search for a Bluetooth radio that would wirelessly pair with the phones. Simple enough, right?

Well, the hole for the original is single DIN size, so that really limited the selection.
And then I wanted Sony so that the passenger control stalk on her side worked with the radio.
And then I wanted Apple CarPlay compatibility.
And then I wanted rear view camera capability.
And then I wanted an equalizer to fix the sound balance between the speakers and the subwoofer.

And I found such a unit.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0971W...UTF8&psc=1

Wait, how does a 9 inch screen work with a single DIN opening? The body of the unit is single DIN and the screen attaches on the front with some adjustability up and down, plus tilt adjustment. The install was pretty straightforward EXCEPT the single DIN opening had to be moved 1/4 in to the left to prevent the screen from hitting the TV outcropping. That was simple enough using an oscillating saw.

As you can seen, I was able to install without obscuring any lights or switches.

The Apple CarPlay gives me the Maps on the screen, plus Siri control of Music, Phone, and hands free texting.

Tim at RVcam hooked me up with some adaptor cables so that I could use the existing Sony cable to the rear with the new head unit. That saved having to run a new cable from front to back. That was easier than trying to frankencobble a wireless adapter to the head unit. I ran the power leads including backup from the old camera location across to the left A pillar and into the head unit.

Well, what to do with the hole left by the old monitor? How about installing a speaker there to match the one on the other side? But that would require an amp, and RCA cables to the amp. In for a penny in for a pound. So I ran more cables down the A pillar, and installed the amp in the center of the console. I was lucky that power and ground was already there in the interior of the console from a long ago abandoned Motorola phone system.

Seriously, I never expected to find something that works so well in integrating all of the different functions I was hoping for. And the work to install was far less than it could have been.

And yes, I did get a color camera upgrade for the back. That’s next on the install list.

The only downside I can see is now I will be hearing a lot more of 80s music.

Hey All,
My coach has a KVH TracVision A7 flat antenna on the roof. I am missing the receiver/antenna controller and the remote. While i know it can't be used with Dir4ecTV any longer I would like to experiment with it.

I may have already found a receiver (KVH/Tracvision Mobile Receiver M10) and a Remote (HUGHES) that may be correct.

Has anyone replaced an A7 and, like me, packratted the components?
