Hi, I have rebuilt the six pack. installed a separate line from the raise solenoid directly to the T that feeds the drivers rear set of air bags. I engage the solenoid the air bags get hard ( no leaks) but it only raises about a 1/4". If i put a 20 ton air jack under the frame run it while concurrently powering on the lift solenoid it will lift to full height. I don't notice any binding or popping noises. Take the jack out and engage the lowering solenoid and the coach lowers. Any guidance will be appreciated. Thank You. Brion

12 VDC Air Compressor need some input

Hey guys,

I need some help and input. My system has been altered and I am trying to sort out what is correct and what is not correct.

I need to understand what the 12 VDC air compressor powers: Front door, interior doors and toilet.
Questions:
A) does it also provide air to the red line (brake system)?
B) What else should the 12 vdc compressor power?
C) Should it fill the aux air system?

In the current configuration the pressure switch is on the red line side, so it is monitoring the red line pressure (from the added 120 VAC compressor) not the 12 VDC output, there is a check valve inline.

The green and blue lines to the slide seals are on the high pressure side (60 psi) at the 12 VDC compressor.

The blue line / small black line for doors / toilet are on the low pressure side of regulator on the 12 VDC compressor.

My redesign is:
12 VDC compressor output to:
pressure switch
check valve to red line
regulator to blue/green slide seal lines
regulator to blue / black line to doors and toilet

A 120 VAC compressor has been added to the system in the mid-compartment, it provides air to the red (brake) system and the green (slide seal) system. See pics. I see this as a good thing, the added tank capacity helps with compressor run time.

The original 120 VAC compressor on the street side seems to be fully functional but does not provide air to my blue line (doors, toilet), I have not looked into this in depth yet. But will.

I am trying to get a handle on the 12 VDC compressor for now.

I do have an additional question regarding the entry door. Locking the door from inside the coach, this may be an air issue, can the alarm system affect locking of the door (from the inside)? how do you turn the alarm off? When I try to lock the door from the inside, I have a relay clicking in the front compartment (constant click, click, click, click). I can try to toggle the door lock switch a few times to try and get it to stop clicking.

I appreciate the help.

Need a little guidance.

The air regulator in the curb side aquahot bay seems to have gone bad, it has a body leak. Not a problem I have a new regulator.

My questions:
1) I have not figured out what this regulator is for, the slides are working properly? Any ideas?
2) To keep me from creating my next project, please let me know what psi it should be set at, I don't want to blow something out.

A couple of pics below.

I appreciate the help.

We held off on our first shake down trip, waiting for those diesel prices to crash. We depart second week of May to Key West, a few stops (New Orleans, Mexico Beach, Tampa, Orlando on the way back).

Thanks!!!!

So I started noticing my 12v compressor was getting louder so I decided I wanted to replace it. I gambled a bit and decided to try a low cost 12v ultra quiet compressor from Amazon. For the price i figured it was worth the gamble. So far I am quite happy with it, the new compressor is much quieter. We will see how it does over the long term, but I figured I just might buy a spare.

We are new owners of coach #1234, our front air compressor is running constantly . I searched the forum but didn’t have any look for what I’m looking for.

The biggest leak is from the compressor(s). Wrapped in white tape into the reservoir. Is there an upgrade to this 2008 tech that can circumvent all these connections? Or at least over better system with the air release?

Thanks,

I have been hesitant at rebuilding my front six pack because I didn't want to unbolt the manifold to do it.
I drove up on blocks under the front wheels, raised the coach all the way up, and put jack stands under the frame.
I released the air out of my suspension and got to work.
I marked each set of wires before removing the coil from the solenoid. Bottom Front, Bottom Middle, Bottom Rear, etc.
Then I removed the solenoid and rebuilt each as it was removed so I could tell if there was an issue on any one circuit.
After rebuilding all 6 I reinstalled them in the reverse order. TR, BR, TM, BM, TF, and BF.
I wish I had done this before we sold our house and lost my private parking spot.

Jeff at Geno's garage relocated his six pack to the hydraulic bay. I will probably make this mod in the future. That way troubleshooting will be easier and I will have access to each solenoid without removing all of them.

I found a hobbs air switch leaking out the back when brake is released ( after a bunch of work to get it out ).

Hobbs - B 76577 4 9613 is the part.

NC contact by labels.

This part appears to be adjustable. I can't find any info in the forum other than it's tied to the refrigerator lock, interlocks ON brake released
to lock the fridge.

Question, is that it's only purpose?

What is the opening/operating pressure?

There are a mess of replacement air switches with various pressures.

Just get it from Newell...?

For nearly 3 months, we were plugged in to 50 amp
Then, we moved to Colorado, also plugged into 50 amp. In both cases, the 110 compressor was coming on and keeping the main supply tank at 60 to 90 pounds, as it should ..... currently moved to a site in Arizona where we're on 30 amp
Everything seems to work except interestingly...the cooktop doesn't, but also th 110 compressor just doesn't seem to be coming on .and the supply is now 0... brakes over 100. Is it possible that its just not on the main 30 amp leg? Or could something have happened in our last trip....triggering a no go. I hear our 12v compressor start on occasion which I presume is keeping brake pressure high. I've really not had time to do much other investigation. We're here for a couple more weeks, so looking for advice...
