Tom,

After almost 3 years, Pam and I are able to be back on the road again. I have spent the last month repairing and replacing items from front to back. It's amazing how much stuff I have forgotten about all the different systems I once thought I was pretty familiar with. So after saying all that here is my question. Is it possible to download the entire forum? I was thinking how neat it would be if I could read up on everything while Pam is driving us around and when I'm relaxing in the evenings. We are going to take a short 3 day trip to Arkansas this weekend to test and check everything out. Our destinations are usually in the mountains and it's hit or miss if there is any wifi or cell service. I just thought it would be great to have all this past knowledge that everyone has shared at your fingertips when needed or researching. I totally understand if its not possible, not knowing how many TB's that would be needed, or if it's even something you would want to do, it was just a thought.

Thank You, for all you do in keeping this forum going, I have solved so many issues by just reading the information that you are storing and providing for everyone.

Hello Newell Fam,
As a younger family with 3 little ones we have run out of room for toys, supplies, and camp stuff when traveling. Up until this point we have gotten by with the existing rig for our storage needs, but I am contemplating towing a trailer now. Maybe even something large enough to fit a vehicle other than just a motorcycle or golf cart. A little nervous that throwing another 20 ft on the back of the bus may be a bold move, but then again, I see so many on the road doing the same that I am slowly warming up to the idea.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Where to purchase? Brands?

Thank you!
Several times I encountered issues with document uploading (to the Document section).
I worked around that by posting large-size files to dropbox instead.

Howdy all,

I get notes and comments now and then (more frequently as our numbers have grown) about how things are not working or working the way folks would like on the forum software. i want you to know that we do the best we can to help those that have problems.

we all get used to using websites that are built by and run by professionals. newellgurus is not run by either of those.

i own and operate it with the help of my son and a handful of willing gurus that act as admins and moderators. we use freeware and i cover all the hosting and other expenses myself, never asking for contributions. and i never will ask for contributions and thankfully refuse those that offer. and that has been the case for the 9 years since we created newellgurus.

the forum runs relatively smoothly but does require work on our part and is not perfect by any sense of the word. and it is a work of passion and care that we love to do.

i never expected it to have as many that have joined us and i like to think it has helped many. for sure darlene and i have made many many dear friends from it.

please continue to be patient with us. my day is always brighter with phone, email, text or forum contact with you. and like many others on the forum, i have contact with some of you almost every day.

i talk to karl blade occasionally, and i know he is appreciative of the help that the gurus give each other.

i also know that there are many on the forum that are very experienced with our rigs that dont post much. i know because i talk to many of you. please take the time to share your experiences on behalf of all of us.

i am not looking for kudos on what we do, but rather wanting all of you to know that we are doing the best we can to offer a forum to help each other.

thank you to all of you....
My family and I are looking to join the RVing world and choose to go with the best of the best which is newell. we found a coach that is an early 80's model and it has some issues with it, I'm pretty mechanically inclined, but there seemed to have been a little water leak in the bed room. Also the owner doesn't know too much about what half the buttons do. I can learn I can fix and this coach is a deal in a half. But should I worry about going head first or will this be a fun experience. Please help! Fully open to personal messages and emails to get advice!

scott has added a google search bar to every page. it allows you to use google search to look for things inside of newellgurus. many of you have commented the search capability is not as robust as we would like, so this should help a great deal.

it does give some google ads as well, but hey, it was free.

thanks

The NewellGurus site offers two alternatives to communicate with other members privately. First, you can use the private message system (PM) and communications remain between you and the person you are communicating with only but the communications do reside on this site. The PM system is fast and easy for limited communications while remaining private or allowing you to provide your email contact information to a specific individual in private. If you want to establish a lengthy communication chain and exchange attachment (documents or photos) moving the conversation to private emails typically works best.

Secondly, you can use the email link. You will not see the persons email address when you use this link and they will not see your email address as the message will come from newellgurus.com. PLEASE do not click on reply to these emails as your response will not go to the individual who sent you the email but to the NewellGurus administrators. If you wish for the individual to respond to you by email, PLEASE include you email address in your message so you can start a conversation off the NewellGurus site. Otherwise, please use the PM system.

Both of these systems are designed to protect the email information for our members. This allows each member to provide their email only to those they wish to have it. Publishing an email address, phone number or other personal information on the open portion of any website can result in that information being harvested by spammers and circulated or sold on the dark web. Unfortunate but that is the reality these days.
