I am going to replace the solenoid valves on the manual air leveling system. I have purchased the valves, 12 total. There are six in the front and six in the back. I’m wanting to know how they work before I remove them. What l can tell, two are exhaust and two let air in. The other two I’m not sure. There are two of a different style not sure about them also. Does anyone have any information about this? Wiring Schematic or how they are piped in?

I found this missing rivet on the bottom of our front slide. It attaches a track on which (I'm guessing) the the slide moves on. It's caused the rail to hang down and I'm afraid it will snag on the slide bladder when the slide is extended.

I saw the post on using Cherry aircraft rivets but we're about to head to Arizona in a few days and I don't know if there's enough time to order some online.

The missing rivet is a countersunk, flush mount style and I haven't found any like that in the local hardware stores. Does anyone have an idea of where I might find some locally? We'd be in a bad spot if that track tore the slide bladder.

Thanks in advance.

I thought I would start a thread rather than ad to the old one. I got all the trim pieces off, if you read the PDF file from Newell it states some coaches had mastic holding the trim pieces on and mine is one of those coaches, I do have the new disks on hand I went and picked them up yesterday morning from Newell and they gave them to me for free, met the new parts lady she is very nice and looks to be adsorbing as much information as she can. ALL of the rivets on the coach between the front and rear slide are popped out you can pick them out with your fingers, the only thing holding them in is a dab of silicon rubber, all the rivets in the short piece of trim behind the rear slide are popped, many of the rivets going around the rear slide are loose. None of the rivets on the slide are loose, I don't think it necessary to add rivets to the slide as there really isn't any stress there but I'm open to comments.

I wish any Newell I was interested was near Newell's HQ...

But they never seem to be. So, if we were interested in a coach, I would want to have an inspector who is very (VERY) familiar with Newells to conduct the inspection. But how?

Most of the coaches are in CA, but they have popped up in other areas. A doubt a seller would let me tie up a coach for very long to get someone in to inspect.

Suggestions???

Greetings Gurus:
Richard Entrekin and Tom McCloud reached out to us with a question about some instances of rivets shearing between the slides on some coaches. As we looked into it, we decided that conducting a bi-annual inspection is a good practice to add to your list of maintenance procedures. Please see the attached letter, and related inspection process. As the letter indicates, should your inspection reveal the need for a repair, please contact Newell for support.
