Bob,

You might keep in mind on the parking brake - if your air pressure gets to low, your parking brake will engage, period, it doesn't matter if your sitting on a lot or running 75 mph down the turnpike.

At least on most of the early to mid 90's Newells, the step cover is also air operated.
