Good idea. There is no grade marking on the ones that are on it now. I was going replace the bolts with the ones that had 3 slash marks on the head. I don't know what grade that is, but I do have 8 of them in my stock pile. I figured they were higher grade than what is on it now, being the ones on it now are smooth heads.

Sound like a grade 5 bolt.

I would go with grade 8, five slash marks, I think, and I would check with Newell for a recommended torque.

I'm with Chester..I always use Grade 8 on suspension components etc. Grade 8 has 6 marks. At least 25% stronger than Grade 5 I think.

I agree, will do. If I got to do it go first class. Doesn't cost that much more.
