Okay, I can't be the only one doing this.....
I open the skylight in the bathroom. Using only a small step ladder I pop up on the roof right in the middle. No need to hold onto anything. It is so easy! I step anywhere I want except on the skylights.

russ, you may fit through the skylight, but i dont have any and if i did, i would definitely not fit through it.....ha

My classic also has the foot steps on side and 2 handles on roof . They work great I was up there the other day !

Yup, we have the handles/steps on the side of our 1982 Newell with two grab handles on the roof to pull yourself up from the top step. I can be on the roof in less than 60 seconds. I do also carry one of those 13' telescoping ladders that comes in handy when I am cleaning the coach, or going up and down from the roof several times over the course of the day.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I have 14x14 vents on the roof and I don't think I would fit (even after working out for several months and losing a few pant sizes!).
I think I am going to get some scaffolding from Homie Depot that I can also use for the house remodeling. I will definitely try the AquaHot vent (with the AH turned OFF lol). I'm going to stop by Harbor Freight and get some of the windshield removal suction cups this afternoon and try those. If my next post if from the hospital you will know why :-0

I have wondered about using the fold out steps/handholds on the side of our coach. I have over the years in my work scurried up & down derricks using just the cross members for feet & hands with no safety line ( in the old days when rigs were wooden & men were iron!) . I just can't seem to convince myself that these are sturdy enough to support my lard ass. I use a folding ladder to get on the roof.

FYI, if you're on a ladder and someone (you know who you are) asks if he can level the coach tell him NO! Not a good place to be....
