The coach would have to be exceptional to get $30,000 (it does look nice).....the market seems to be around $22-24,000 for this vintage year right now. The low mileage (66,000) would scare me a lot....these machines need to be run down the road on a regular basis. It could look great cosmetically, but end up with all kinds of mechanical issues due to low usage, which appears to have averaged around 1,700/year over 39 years.

Bidding on eBay only got to $21,000.... that's very close to the market value which I would place at $22,000-25,000.

Just for update,

I’m still looking for a coach, mainly years 1984 - 1997 give or take. Call me or PM me if you know of one or are thinking of selling. Looking for a real clean unit.

Update on the 1981 I posted about, were the owner wanted $55,000. After talking and helping him realize it wasn’t worth the $55k, I held at my offer of 25k, it needed tires they were 15 years old. He sold it for $30,000 to I perceive, a dealer or flipper because it’s now Forsale on RVtrader listed under a 1989 Bluebird WB40 in Cleveland, OH. Hidden within the ad of the Bluebird at the bottom he shows the same Newell for a bargain price of $52,500.

He must of done this before to think its worth that kind of money, I guess it takes 1 poor decision by a new buyer that has not done their research to think that is a bargain price. I suspect the Bluebird is the same situation.

Just my .02

Still searching!

I spoke with the guy before he sold that coach (and almost went to see it near Dallas). He had it listed and priced differently on 3 different websites. Seemed fishy. He said he bought it from a gentleman who had it driven twice a year by a personal assistant to the same 2 spots every year. The owner stayed in it, then had it driven back. It supposedly was garaged other than that.
The guy that sold said he wanted to pull a hot rod to shows but things changed. He did not much about the rig. It appeared nothing had been done to the coach other than a few minor items.
