If you are plugged into 50 amp service, turn electric on. At 30 degrees, you may need the diesel burner to assist the electric elements. Electric elements reduce diesel burn time to meet the heating demand.
If not plugged in, just use the diesel function.
Diesel burner uses one half gallon per hour when running. When not plugged in, the burner does not run much. In really cold temps it may use 2 to maybe 3 gallons per 24 hours.
