Clarke,
we lived in NW for about 10 years and there is good 3 months " magic window " of great weather, but living there full time it got in to us! In past we raced USCF cycling and training in the spring, fall and winter was hard core , 70 days of non stop rain @ we used fenders on our bikes and still was hard to manage, i rode 10.000 miles per year and got tired of training in the rain, so now we spending 3 months in MT & ID area and it was awesome with sun for about 90% I love it!
We are coming back to Wenatchee and Yakima WA for couple of events there and than to Cali in St Barbara area for some sunny weather cycling and in january to Mt lemmon AZ area for 2 months to do some more cycling at altitute!
Next year we are heading to UT,WY,CO,KS and some more states
Hope we hook up some day , will keep you posted where about we are.
