Replaced both fresh water pumps
#4

gordon, that is a very good question. and now that you have asked it i have to think hard about it.

what gordon is talking about is i put a 5.7gpm surflow extreme 12vdc pump in my 90 coach. it is high pressure and high volume for a 12v pump. it even allowed me to take out the accumulator tank and have no issues as it turns on with demand and is easily able to keep up.

it was around $175 bucks if i recall.

surflow 115v pump that chester put in is i believe a 3gpm pump and is similar to the 12vdc pump he also put in only a different power source. is that right chester?

the headhunter mach5 pump that newell used for some time is a 20gpm pump and 65psi or so. so it can supply a ton of water flow.

but to be honest, not sure other than the potential for lots of water flow, why a 115v pump is used.

the headhunter for sure has alot of features and 3 stages of impellers for high water flow yadi yadi yadi.

good thing i got my mach 5 for 375 bucks or i would be scratching my head why i didnt do what chester did.

any thought from the rest of you?
