The radiator on the Detroit 2-stroke engines does have lots to do. It cools heat from:
1) the engine coolant
2) the engine oil via an oil to engine coolant heat exchanger internal to the engine
3) the charge air via an air to engine coolant heat exchanger internal to the engine
4) the transmission oil via an oil to engine coolant heat exchanger internal to the radiator
