adding generator auto-start
#1

I have the Kohler 20kw generator and a Freedom 25 inverter with Link 2000 remote.
I'd like to add a generator auto-start, does anyone have any suggestions on what would work best with the above?

Magnum does make a stand alone which I think will work with any inverter/charger. I know I had one on my 89 and it was a freedom in/ch I think, it has been a while.

Thanks Ron. Looks like the Magnum might be what I'm looking for.

AGS Wiring Diagram for Stand Alone Systems (ME-AGS-S)
I thinks this will work with your inverter. Goggle and do a little readling because I thinks this works with any inverter/charger.

You can do it with the Freedom and the Power-Tech. The mid 90's birds had it from the factory. I know they use a simple Radio Shack power supply as a voltage point, but I can't remember what the rest of the system uses. It's quite simple. My 96 had 2 Freedom 25's and the corresponding remotes. I don't believe those are the Link 1000s, but they may be. The PowerTech I've got is the 15Kw, though PowerTech tells us those actually put out 17-18Kw.

Forest,

I walked out and looked at mine. It uses a Gencon model 9232 circuit board from Westhaver Associates, Inc. I'm virtually positive Westhaver is still around. They'll be able to get you fixed up.

Forest,
Just order a magnum Stand Alone Systems (ME-AGS-S). Will try to install on my 04 with the zantax pro sine inverter/charger and will let you know how it goes. Bought it off ebay for $163
