JUST PURCHASED THE NEWELL #279 FROM JIMMY DANIEL AND LOVING IT SO FAR....HAD TO BUY IT SINCE WE LIVE IN SAN ANTONIO AREA AND IT WAS THE 1991 SAN ANTONIO SHOW COACH FOR NEWELL...LITTLE TROUBLE GETTING ALL OF THE "ALABAMA" STICKERS OFF BUT FINALLY GOT IT. LOOKING FORWARD TO VISITING WITH ALL ON THE FORUM. MY WIFE AND I LIVE IN THE CANYON LAKE AREA JUST NORTH OF SAN ANTONIO...

let us know if we can help you. i had a 90 before i got my 02, so am pretty familiar with most of the systems on yours as are many of the folks here on the forum

Thanks for the reply's....coach is great so far...thinking about taking it to the factory in early January to have everything checked out. Anything specific on this model that I should look out for or be aware of???

nothing in particular other than hang onto your wallet when you fill it up with diesel. my 90 had a 311 gallon tank

my 02 has a 235 so doesnt seem as painful at the pump

Welcome Texasnewcomer! James' rule of thumb is expect at least $5,000/day at Camp Newell. That's our experience anyway. They do a great job. Won't let anybody else touch our coach. You will find that the gurus are awesome!
