Factory Service

Beginning day two at Newell. Ron Skeen finished up yesterday and has left. Spent some time with Ed Perkins touring his new to him 2002.

Newell has changed out my main fuel tank gauge, put a new wheel seal in my left drive axle, replaced my drive axle brakes, adjusted all brakes and replaced the three remaining front airbags.

[Image: 600_8406.JPG]You think we had a leak?
[Image: 600_8393.JPG]Yes that is the steel cord showing!

Should be complete with the remainder of the items on my list today. As usual, the staff has been extremely helpful and gracious.

This is a short week for Newell with the 4th holiday so the shop will be closed Thursday.

Had dinner last night with new forum members Doug and Rose (Rambler) last night. Fun couple.

New owner of 1518 is onsite picking up his coach.

Doug, you did great! Your coach is gorgeous!! Sorry we are going to miss you this trip.

After Doug and then Marc get through with it, I may be next in line!!Big Grin

Always a pleasure to return to the mothership.

With the holiday traffic, everyone be careful out there.

Michael,

Did you notice any braking issues before service? Or maybe the question should be, can you tell a difference w/ the new shoes?

Have to admit, the air bags that came out were a bit scary...:0

Haven't driven it yet with the new brakes but I had noticed that braking was deteriorated prior to the change.

To the best of my knowledge they did. Summer is a very busy time for Newell Service. Additionally, as they are cranking up the production line to meet demand, they are using the paint booths and using bays for make ready on a more frequent basis.

Life seems to be good, but very busy, at Newell.
