The number is correct, the 1st 2007 was #787.

There were 30-2007's (#787 - #816) built prior to the number jump to #1200 to account for the 384 coaches built prior to 1983
Numbering resumed at #1200 with #1214 being the last 2007 built.

So #1208 would have been the 7th from the last 2007 built.

2007 was a tremendous year for Newell production.

If it's the same guy, he owned a manufacturing plant in Peoria. Every year when the new Corvettes come out, he has an enclosed trailer go to Bowling Green and pick up the current year. The only miles on them are into and off the trailer at his warehouse.

This is a beautiful coach with a lot of features I like. The only serious problem I see is that to get to the toilet when traveling with all slides in, one has to slide or scoot across the bed because there is only a few inches of space at the foot of the bed. It does not have the half bath. I wonder how this will affect the sale price now and in the future.
