What are these

Could someone tell me what are these things are and do?  They are two of them in the TV compartment. One on each side.

Those are temperature operated switches (or thermostats if you prefer) and turn on the cooling fans to move air through the compartments.  The compartments gain heat from the electronics located in them.

Yep, they are wired to hidden pancake fans.

Mine will activate if it's a warm day, and the sun is hitting the front cap.

Great, I guess they aren't as important since we now have flat screen TVs.

My DVR is a huge heat generator.

The stereo receiver puts out quite a bit of heat also.

I don't hear mine, but I'm deaf anyway.  I also have another question.  When I cut on the ignition there is a tick. I have had several ask me why?

The tick might be from the relays above your head that switch the speakers from the tv to the car stereo when ignition is on.

OK Forest, but it sounds like it is coming from the dash and I could be mistaken and will pay closer attention.  It will keep ticking as long as the ignition is on, like when I raise the coach with the 120 volt compressor.  After I start the engine I don't hear it.  Too many other noises. If it is a speaker relay should it keep ticking? It has always done this and the other day Mary ask why.
