Post lights for switch panels
#11

How's this for a stoopid question: how do you get the darn thing apart to change the bulb? I removed it from the panel but can't get to the bulb.

Bulb pulls out the bottom - the bulb has a flat flange on it that butts up against the 'hood'. Check another one or two you'll find one that disassembles easier.

Thanks! Rare case of me actually being too gentle trying not to break stuff.

FYI.....I installed the LED's in the panel post lights without dimmers that stay on all the time and they are about half as bright but about 1/10 as hot as the incandescent bulbs.

Does anyone know what type of headlight light pull switch is on a 1989?

1984 used a General Motors (Chevy) pick up light switch. Same with the tilt steering column. I think the 84 and 89s had a lot of similarities.

Thanks Guy, for some reason I was thinking it was a Ford. My brother has an 84' so I'll go look at his to see if they're the same. Rick

1975 era Ford truck door handles and latch posts, Ford car back up lights used as " yard " lights. These guys must have had a lot of fun specifying original build parts.Just go to the new car dealers and look at what's on the showroom floor.
