Are there any upper scale rv parks in the ouray silverton area? My wife is wanting a pool to lay out by. Also does anyone know if you can ride your atv from campgrounds in Bueno vista like you can in silverton area.

Marc,
We are in Silverton now till Sunday and there aren't any upscale parks here to speak of, but Red Mtn. Rv & cabins is nice and the owners are super! It's a great base to do the local trails and several good places to eat! (Hungry Moose!)
We were in Durango earlier, and Alpen Rose is big rig friendly with an above ground pool. Great area to sightsee! Pagosa Springs  has an upscale park, but we've never been.
We are heading in to Ouray today or Sat. in our Jeep, so we could check it out for big rig friendly parks on our way over there and get back with you.
This is a beautiful area and the temps are really great, 40's/70's not bad for July/ August!  Shy

Marc,
We went over the pass to Ouray and the only thing we saw was Ouray RV Park on the north side of town on Rte. 550. It was rated 4/5 stars and was easy in/out! I would check availability before the drive, though!
Ouray KOA is farther north and looked tight for Big Rigs.

Hope that helps!

Marc, you might have a problem finding a pool in parks in Co.  The season is short and the days are cool.  We just got back from a very nice park int Creede, Mountain View RV Park and Resort.  Up scale but no pool.  There were about 4 Newells there, mostly in the resort area.  It was a great place to stay.
