I appreciated everybody's input to my slide problem.  I thought about the pins and was trying to locate them, but couldn't see them with the slides in the out position.  I especially appreciate Tom's post that the pins aren't necessary that the hydraulics will keep it in.  We are praying for more dry weather, but I'm sure about the time we head home, it will start raining.  We have had no rain in south Texas since we got on January 12th.  We plan to leave on March 28 and be at Newell the afternoon of the 29th.  When we leave we plan to put wide blue painter's tape all around the slide, unless some of you thinks that would be the wrong thing to do.  I don't think it will hurt thye paint.

I have been using clear contact paper to put on my car when I do track days. This sticks good and will stay on at a high rate of speed. It peel off real easy with no glue left on the paint. I have never left it on for a long period of time but for something temporary it should work.
