Les, there is a bike path that runs down to Ventura from Ojai along the Ventura River (http://www.traillink.com/trail/ventura-r...sion).aspx). A great ride......Elaine and I have ridden it numerous times over the years. Turn left on Main Street right into the Old Town area, and a lot of great restaurants. Go right up to Rincon Parkway.

Yes, all the roads around the lake are awesome! we have used the all, 33route up to pine mountain climbs close to 5000 feet ele gain, doing is 2x per week, its 60 miles round trip, alos did Casitas pass, dowm to 192 route where multi milion $$$ mensions are trough Montecito, down the beach trough Carpinteria and trough Venture beach up the bike trail and back to Casitas lake , great 70 miles with some great climbing, I also did sulfer Mt, 4 miles straight up to the sky! 17% section and steady 11% all the way to some amazing views of the valley! Did Solvang wine testing and Figueras climb.
Everywhere is up and down here and 70F love it!

Nightlife with some amazing resteurants in Ojai, Ventura is icing on teh cake!

January we are heading down to Tucson for some more awesome cycling around mount Lemmon.
We use to come to all these places for winter training while racing bikes, now is kind of great way to comeback with more relaxed mode!

Best,
