You might want to look at ceramic tile, my wife wants to replace all our bamboo flooring with ceramic tile because of our Australian Shepard that's destroying the bamboo. She saves us daily from the robber, stabber, raper mailman that comes by.

That was my first thought but then I started reading and everybody talks about weight (with a good reason) so I'm not so sure anymore. There are areas were I'm really not concerned with that (the bedroom is a VERY small area and won't add up that much weight even if I use conventional tiles) but the drivers area and living room is a considerable area and will add a lot of weight if I go with ceramic tile. I know I can balance a little bit of the weight not filling up the water/diesel tank to be full but still.
