Coolant recovery tank
#1

Hi all,

I want to change the white plastic coolant tank (cracked) with a new CRS300 by Arize and have proper recovery.
The kit I found (new) , came without the radiator cap that I think is somewhat special....should have been included but it is missing...
Can somebody take a picture of that cap ? I think it is a 7psi radiator cap but I am not entirely sure.
Anything special about it ? I would appreciate it if somebody can look and confirm.
Thanks

The radiator cap for the steel tank inside the little trap door, or the cap for the Arize plastic tank?

I don't remember there being anything special about the Arize cap other than its a dust cover for the plastic tank.

My understanding is that Arize sends a new radiator cap to replace the one on the steel tank inside the trap door so that the coolant flows faster to the tank. The normal cap we have with DD 60 is 13psi I think....The plastic tank has a dust cover, correct.
If somebody that has the 300 system installed can confirm what PSI is says on the radiator cap on the steel tank, would make this clear.
Thanks

The CRS300 I bought was for an 8V92 & came with a 7 psi plastic cap for the radiator.

I would use the PSI cap that the engine manufacturer specified. Otherwise, the cooling system may not function as designed.
