SCS A/C
#1

Hello Fellow Newell owners. I am in search of a board for my SCS  2 stage a/c. My board had a small fire and I can't get a replacement from the usual suspects IE; Flight Systems, Comfort Air or Newell without a core. Mine has a small hole burned in it and I've been told it can't be repaired. If anyone has an extra board I would be most grateful if you would sell it to me. I am new to the Forum and am looking forward to getting to know some of you. Thank you in advance......

Welcome Donzi. Looks like you have coach #611. Hopefully someone will have access to a board for you.

I recently had my control board replaced at Newell.  They take the old boards and send them out to be rebuilt.. from what the tech told me, you can't get them anyplace else

Thanks. I just heard from Richard and am going to reach out. Maybe he can shed some light on this for me.

Danzi, Several months ago I downsized from my 99 Newell and had an extra a/c board which I have.  You are welcome to it for the price of shipping if you still need it.

Chapel,
I don't know what to say. That is so kind of you. That board is the same part number and looks identical to what I need. The only difference is that mine has "Rev A" after the number. I'm not sure if that makes a difference in it's functionality as it looks identical. I would like to take you up on your most generous offer. Please let me know where I could mail a check to, who to make it out to and for how much. Thank you again for helping me.

With regards,

Way to go Chappell! What a guy.
Donzi you might want to look up the board modification here on the gurus site. It transfers the amperage to relays which protects the board from burnouts.

Thanks, Richard and I have been discussing the external relays and I can see the benefit of moving the power source.
