started the tear down to get the slide out.
took the valence off, took the steel plate with hook off, took the leather cover and panel off behind the drivers seat on the slide. took the steel plates off behind the cover. i also took the couch armrest off to make sure there were no screws holding the big panel on.
took the plastic blocks off that have two bolts in them under the floor where the slide ram bolts are. they have spacers behind them so you have to make sure you keep them oriented right and put the spacers back in.
i might add that i measured the slide before i took everything apart. with the slide all the way out i measure at the bottom of the slide both sides and marked with a piece of tape on the coach the measurement. in my case both were 29 1/8. that way when we screw the slide rams back in when we are done we can move them to exactly the same position and hopefully the slide will align right where it was before.
the two blocks come off with a 7/16 wrench
the locknut on the slide ram is a 15/16 and the ram itself is a 5/8
i think i will trim the fur weatherstrip at the back slide of the slide so it doesnt catch the new slide seal on the way in. it sticks up with a sharp corner too much for my liking
i dont think i have to remove any trim or panels on the rear of the slide to get it out.
next is to put the coach up on jackstands to keep it firm
a few pictures attached
