i was sent this answer to how the torque stick works by a good friend who mocks me for being an electrical engineer who only knows 1's and 0's. ha

"The torque stick is designed using the modulus of the steel, the diameter, and the length of the skinny part so that at 475 the stalk of the stick twist flexes enough to absorb the energy of the gun."

yea, what he said. i resemble that remark. all i know is that it is magic and it works. btw my son is an ee and my son inlaw an ee one with a masters and the other with phd and post doc. i am a lowly bsee with mba who retired from semiconductors.
