2007 shop air hookup
#1

bob and sandy are here at our place with their beautiful 2007.

we are going to look for air leaks.  my question is this.....

if you look at the attached picture, the shop air hook up goes through the air doubler.  mine is totally separate.

we hooked up my shop air, but had to turn on the valve to the air doubler.  the doubler makes its piston noise once in a while and i am not convinced any shop air is getting into the coach air because his 120v air compressor still comes on frequently.

those with this vintage, any advise?

i will take another look at it in the morning.

I think to get air into the coach you should use the top air connection.

Well the air wont go backwards through the doubler, but i cant tell if the line you are feeding is the input to the doubler or not. And you did open the valve? Cause its closed in the pic?

richard, they got here late afternoon and all we did was hook things up and visit. and YES when we tried it, both ball valves were open. this pictures was when we shut it off.

i am going out there soon and will check it out. it is just a very different setup compared to mine.

I agree with Richard, don't think you can backflow through the doubler. Hopefully there is another outlet before the doubler. If not he might need to add one, it would be a good addition.

I Have those on my coach and you cannot charge the coach air up through those

we figured it out. and it does work for putting air in the coach.

now working on massive air leaks. found one on the air dryer in the drivers tag wheel bay,

now playing with a leak causing the passenger side rear ride height valve to exhaust air when it should not be

Tom, It sounds like you figured it out. This is for others

I can completely charge my coach #784 thru the air coupling marked "aft Pneumatic tools". I also get a burp thru the doubler when the coach is up at pressure. Not sure if this is a problem. The burp is once every 10 minutes or so.

I'll also note that the chassis gets the air first, then the Coach. The valve adjacent to the 2 air chuck outlets, controls that manifold.

The air doubler on 512 has a quarter turn shutoff valve to prevent air entering the doubler.
