I can visualize that.. You may want to consider a surface mount, Newell uses this also http://www.cookwithkenyon.com/collection...tops/touch One of the models also has a ring that raises up to hold the pan in place.. Your counter could be modified to suite... Next time at Newell you should discuss.. Unless of course.. your handy... Angel
