Ridewell Frame Data Plate
#1

Does anyone know where the Ridewell frame data plate is located?  How about what does it look like?

Spoke with Ridewell engineering.......the data plate I supplied from the passenger side back of drive axle was not theirs, most likely a Meritor axle data plate.  According to Ridewel, their suspension tag would be located on the driver-side hanger....mines missing.  He sent me three drawings of the suspension they supplied to Newell, they are as follows:

2277605D000 Drive suspension supplied from 1995 to 1999
2460003  Drive and Tag suspension supplied from 1999 to 2003
2467667E000  Drive and Tag suspension supplied in 1997

I did ask for permission to share the attached drawings for reference and received the okay from Matt Aton, the Project Engineer I spoke with, his contact # 417-833-4565 x 147....he was most helpful.

Steve are you looking to replace or rebuild something? I'm just a curious George.

Jack,
Finally getting around to replacing the Pan Head Bar.  Wanted to get the exact length as delivered from the factory.  The best I could measure mine as it is installed was IMHO not very accurate.  I say "installed" as that thing is frozen in place.   I have spent three days and tried everything to break free the tapered end but no luck.  I cried Uncle and scheduled an appointment at Josam for Sept 13 to get them to replace it.

NOTE: According to the drawings, all three versions of the Ridwell suspension, the Pan Head Bar is 27-1/4" center to center.

Can you get the nut off? If so, biggest sledge you have.

The nut was easy.  Sledge, muffler cutter with a pointed bit locked into the center drill hole, ball joint forks, 1/2 can of penetrating oil.  No heat as there is too many expensive airbags and a shock in the area.

Anger helps me but it usually results in blood loss too. Good luck
