Traveling South on Hwy 160 in Colorado
#1

Has anyone traveled over Wolf Creek Pass (hwy 160) to Pagosa Springs CO? It is a 9 mile - 7-8% decent heading south and I'm a bit worried about the steepness over such a long distance. Les and I rode up it the other day on our bikes and got to feel the steepness up close. We want to head to Farmington, NM from Creede, CO and are trying to find the best route. Any suggestions?

I have traveled several time and it is a good road. The elevation is no problems just come down the hill in a lower gear with the jack brake. That is the best route by far.
