As I posted about a month ago, the seal on 540's salon slide blew out. Driving out to Miami from OR or WA state wasn't really going to be an option for us. But as has been stated before, there appears to be zero history of anyone other than Newell replacing the seal on the salon. Lucky us -- an expensive job AND we get to be pioneers! On the plus side, we were in one of the few other places in the country where I felt we could probably find someone capable of doing the job -- not too far from Eu

I admit I haven't read every existing post on this fertile subject but will share my question anyhow.    I can hear a leak - it's at the rear slide seal where it splits under the slide - clearly audible from the outside.    Can anyone tell me what I need to take apart to get to these components?

Thanks in advance,
Chuck

Hey Guys,
I new some help ASAP. My #1 slide, drivers side, front, made a loud pop sound when I extended it a week ago. Today, when I retracted it, it blew the 4 amp AC motor fuse at the same spot when it made the load pop. I replaced fuse and my motors are fine, it seems like I have a linkage failure. Any ideas, as I'm stuck in Oregon, and have to head to California.
Thanks in advance,
Ross Daniels

Has anyone found a supplier for the air seals for the slide outs besides Newell?

Wondering if we could get one for the bedroom slide without having to buy the large one and cutting it down like Newell wants us to do.

Thanks for any help you can give us!!

Our Salon slide has been leaking inside for years when the slide room was out.  This was due to a number of factors including the windows leaking and the slide seal not fully sealing correctly.  The slide room ceiling was starting to sag and for some crazy reason I decided to pull the ceiling down and rebuild it.  I am going to include some pictures here and there (eventually will be a full video showing the full rebuild.  My beautiful wife assisted me this morning to remove the big windows from

We have a 1997 Newell coach 465. Our living room slide had a major failure and will not retract all the way. The top is locked in with the pins but the bottom is slid out about 1 1/2 inches.

We have an appointment at Newell on Monday Aug 1 and we were all set to leave but transmission will not shift into reverse or drive.

We found the override switch in the silver HWH control box but when switched to override we still can
not move.

Does anyone know how to disconnect the interlock

I'm a bit apprehensive in asking this question because I'll probably come across as bonkers...

None the less, my desire for clean clothes (ala Washer/Dryer) will have to take priority.

The 2006 Newell we've purchased has no washer/dryer and the only locations where one would fit, are located in the glide-outs.  I'm tempted to say "slide-outs" but I'm attempting to be true to Newell's nomenclature Smile

Does anyone have any idea if it's possible to route hot/cold/1.5' flexible hoses in such a way
