The Sunshine bridge on LA Hwy 70 across the Mississippi River will be closed through January for repairs.  It was hit and damaged by a crane barge on 10-12 and is closed.  I know most gurus won't travel this route but it is causing major traffic delays on the I-10 bridge across the river in Baton Rouge, especially at morning and evening commute times.
Just a FYI to be aware of increased traffic if anyone is planning that route.

Another newbie question, When traveling at slow speeds (slow traffic etc) every once in awhile ( hot exhaust message) pops up on Dash screen then it will turn off when i get to traveling faster. Question is is this my regen system working? of is it just hot exhaust coming out of tail pipe?  I own 1403 a 2010 coach with a 2008 cat c-15 installed in it. Thank you John

In the past I have always carried tarps to protect my carpet when a grease monkey needs to enter my coach for service.  I had some work done at the house and the worker put down masking film to protect the carpet.  It clings very well and never tore over the 5 hrs he was working.

It gave me the idea to try it in the coach.  It clings down to the carpet whether you fully open it up or use it in a less wide folding.  It has not moved or tore in my walking on it.  It is a very lightweight product & inexpensive.  Instead of a box of tarps, I will be carrying a roll of this in a drawer.

It comes in a couple of widths.  I got the stuff that is 6' X 90'.

We are going to be having the front fiberglass end cap redone and I’m wondering what others are doing.  We drive at night a lot and I want better/great headlights.  I have seen the upgrade to 2004-up style projector type lights and would really like something like the newer coaches and trucks have that include a set of LED lights around the head lights (or LED head lights)... any ideas/pictures?  I’ll add some pics here as I find them

My full timer, agreed value insurance is renewing at the end of the month.  My current insurance has been going up and the renewal jumped $1300 to nearly double.  Plus the agency said no other agreed value was available from them.  So the search was on.

I contacted Melissa Thum of the Thum insurance agency.  They insure a good number of Prevosts with agreed value policies.  In no time she had me set up with Progressive Agreed Value policy with same coverage for less than I spent this year.  She was very easy to deal with and most accomodating.

And HOW would you install it.  Is there a conduit or a loom where you could pull a cable fore and aft, and side to side?

From Harris County (Houston area), Texas comes a warning to check your towbar/hitch ball mount/draw bar for a secure connection. A vehicle was struck in the windshield by a hitch ball mount which had come loose from another vehicle. 

Sometimes it is easy to forget that something as simple as verifying the hitch locking pins are secure can save someone else from disaster. 



Fortunately, there was no one sitting in the passenger's seat when this drop hitch ball mount came through the windshield of an unsuspecting motorist on IH-45.

I was tracing a minor leak. One of the push-to-connects had a minor leak on the distribution block that feeds the slide seal pressure regulators. In the process of looking around I turned the plastic lever that looked like an on/off, but as soon as I did that it started leaking air and there are positions where it leaks less, but it still leaks. Do I have to replace the block with the plastic lever or is there some other way of sealing this, such as removing it and tightening something?
