I am trying to figure out what can be done with the electric window in the front slide.
It goes down ok but has to helped to come up.
This is not a good design and when it rains there is water coming in at the bottom of the rubber seal. If has to have all these tired seal replaced or a new fixed window installed.

The ones that have an electric window in the slide.....do you have problems with it ? How did you fix leaks ? Access to mechanism for service/grease repair ?
The metal vinyl covered shade that pulls up is very heavy and keeps falling down.....any upgrades, solutions ?

Thanks for input.

Genset quit running down the road while running a/c.  Called @bestgenman who helped me eliminate safety features.  Then found a blown ceramic fuse on control box.  Replaced with ceramic slo blow fuse and started right up.  Ran for over an hour under load & all seems well again.  Still not sure why fuse blew. Here are the fuses.

I have 3 split 13,500 btu units on my coach. 2 of the fan motors on the middle and front units condensers have burnt up! They are Duo-Therm model #37415.304 The fan motor is an Emerson model K33HXCD-929
HP 1/6 and the RPM 1650. These motors are no longer available and the closest I could find was a Rotom
HP 1/12 and RPM 1550. Needless to say they do not move enough air to keep the compressor cool and it overheats and trips the breaker. Any suggestions would be helpful to repair or replace the system. I would rather stay with the split units. Also these old units have the R22 coolant thats soon to be extinct. What would be the most cost effective and easiest solution?
Thanks for any help!

One of the benefits that attracted me to the Motorhome life is the independence it provides. The ability to stay in a different beautiful area is also great. Most of the time we take advantage of the hook-ups at a campground/resort. I'm curious as to how my fellow RV'ers actually enjoy total independence from hook-ups and how you accomplish that....ie. generator/battery/solar ,water/waste disposal etc. and for how long?
I ask because even though I'm not a water enthusiast I am intrigued as to how these sailing yachts can go for weeks without "support services" by using a desalinater, solar, generator etc.

My husband had dreamed of having a coach.  But like many work keeps us from taking her out much.  We have had it for 8-9 years.  Each time we pull it out it is like the first.  I'm so excited to find gurus such as this group.  I hope the learning experience will make me a guru someday.  Of course I found you as I was looking into info for problem.  I'll post later as I work out the details.  Thanks Debbie

I am familiar with the procedure to pull the slide in a couple extra inches to access and replace the slide seal.
I am now interested in extending the slide beyond its normal outward stop.   I want to expose the last few inches of the floor so I can work on it .   I am hoping, someone has been down this path and can offer some suggestions.

Thanks,

Russ
