Tom, have you ever considered building a pit? It would seem like it would cost a lot less to build a pit Than it would to buy a lift.

Yep! Rattlesnakes in AZ love Pits....... At least you could gather them all up in one spot! (:~)

Made by Team Lift, an offshoot of Forward Lifts, in Ft Worth.

Afrench:

My son has the Port-A-Cool and directly in front of it the temps will drop almost 20 degrees on a hot summer day. My shop doesn't get below 42 degrees either with no heat.

i have been looking for used port a cools on ebay. the big ones are a little pricey.

as for the pit. it would be way more expensive than a lift and i want a car lift, not a car pit.

a pit for the coach would be really expensive.

i am just not interested in a pit

some days I just feel I built the shop too far from the house.................................................

RE: exterior dimension help - HoosierDaddy - 12-06-2013

Yes Steve, I have felt the same way...My ideal would be a 200'X100' commercial building with living quarters built in..I could walk right out of my "house" into my shop/storage etc. My motorhome, Jeep, trucks, tractors, and hobby cars would be accessible without going out in the cold .....My wife's not impressed with my logic though.

RE: exterior dimension help - rheavn - 12-06-2013

Your logic sounds pretty good to me! I think my next house will be built within my shop.
