Slides not flush
#1

My slides on the outside are flush at the bottom but either in or out at the top on a couple corners. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks!

I can't comment on the newer coaches but someone will, however I did notice you have a misalignment between the trim pieces from the side of the coach to the slide. Curious if something may have bound up?

Perhaps a thorough exam of the slide bearings is in order.

I had two slides that did that.  Newell said it wasn’t a problem and could be adjusted if desired.  When I replaced one linear slide bearing I adjusted the tilt which helped.  I don’t remember noticing any tilt on either slide recently, perhaps it resolved itself.

The misalignment Jack pointed out may be worth a call to Newell.

I used two hydraulic tables to lift the slide.  The cover is velcroed on, I used a suction cup for glass to remove the cover.

I have our slides alignment checked every annual service. You can also set the Limits in the slides via the Control panel. Have Newell walk you through that sequence…it’s long. MOST IMPORTANTLY…AFTER SETTING, RUN A FULL CYCLE IN EXTEND/RETEACT IN NORMAL MODE!!!!! This is needed in order to Save the settings. We learned the hard way after many End Wall errors.

Finally, it’s not uncommon to have misalignment when your coach isn’t on level ground. Running them full cycle on nice level ground usually gets them corrected for me.

Oh yeah…would be foolish of me to not say the obvious…CHECK YOUR SLIDE PATH!!! I’ve known (and seen) many who’ve said “all ok”, only to find a kids toy jammed into the slide trough!
