That's been my working theory.. there's no documentation in the design and build sheets that I have access to about a security system so I have no idea what triggers it once it's 'set'. That being said, if I wanted to add cameras and additional modern security, it'd be nice to know that if I could tie it into the existing system... Maybe I'll call up Newell or get brave and flip the switch.
Sort of related side note My previous coach had a dash button that allowed me to electronically lock all the bay doors. I'm going to miss that feature. This coach doesn't have that.

My presumption is that it’s not much different than in even the newer coaches…pretty basic. Our 2015 system is tied to the front door, set with the outside keypad. Once it’s opened in any method, the electric horns go off in a random pattern.
Since your Arming switch is inside, then it has to be tied either to an exit/entry timer to delay arming or triggering.

Look for a key switch on the first bay door to the right of the entry door. Most pre Bode door coaches I have seen have that key switch for arming the security system.
And you should have a toggle switch on the entry panel by the door to lock and unlock the bay doors. Do you have the Ford window actuators on the backside of the bay doors?
