Good morning Gurus. I have coach 1490, my toad is a 21 Denali hd. All turn signals, brake lights and running lights work separately on perspective vehicles. When I plug toad into coach, I only get turn signals and brake lights———no running lights on toad. I plugged my toad into one of my other vehicles and have blinkers, brake lights, and running lights. The umbilical cord is brand new. I read a previous post by Steve Vance stating that some lights don’t work until you release park brake, could this be the issue? I have checked the fuse box in passenger side engine bay and it seems all ok…..Regards, Mike

You might check the pins in the plug part of the coach-side connector wiring/pins. Turn on a turn signal and check the pin is blinking then to the other signal and so on… this will make sure what you think is actually happening.

Here are the rear Spyder diagrams & photos I have. On 1482 the trailer/toad wiring goes to it, plug B, I think, look at Layout3.
I also included the Battery Merge relay photos, it is in the rear Spyder box. Wile you're in there, take a look at it to see how off colored it is, some of us have had it fail. You can test it using the Emergency Start Switch on the dash.
The small relays are Panasonic CM1-R-12V, I recommend carrying a few of them as spares. There are a lot more in the front Spyder Fuse Box.

Mike. This is all about wiring. Not sure exactly what you’re expecting from “running lights”. Assuming the 7-pin and 6-pin plugs/outlets are wired correctly, only taillights will be illuminated.
This is by design. Towing harnesses have diodes that act as a one-way valve that prevent any current from back-flowing into the toad’s entire electrical system. So, the harness is tapped into ONLY the tail/brake-light wires and the diodes are placed upstream thus preventing any possibility of powering anything else.
As I’ve mentioned, our coach must have the parking brake released for the brake lights or turn signal to work.

Steve, I found the brown in coach side plug was not getting any power, and this wire is for taillights (running lights). I’m going to Indio on the 19th. I’m going to have Newell look at it. I appreciate you very much!! Mike
