I am wanting to try to run our coach using a 30 amp plug I have in my barn. It is about 100’ way from where I can park. Would I be able to make an 80’ extension using 50 amp cord with an adapter to 30 amp in the barn and the other end plugged into the 50 amp cord coming out of the coach?
From reading on the forum sounds like I will be able to run one of the AC zones on low with this setup.
Any experience with this?

your enemy is voltage drop.
your coach probably has a 50ft cord. if you add a additional 80 cord and you use 6 gauge wire like your existing cord has (which you are calling a 50a cord), then with 130ft at 30a and one leg you will have a voltage drop of about 3 volts.
that is fine as long as you have good voltage where you plug in. for me, anytime i get below 110v i dont like it....
yes, you can run one compressor on it.

Gotcha. I forgot the cord hard wired to the coach is 50’. So I would only need 50’ more.
