Webasto control box
#1

Last week I noticed the Webasto diesel burner for the aquahot was continuing to run even after the switch was turned off.
A bit of troubleshooting and determined that the control box was bad.
I found prices from $775 down to $515 for a new one. $350 for a used one with a 7 day warranty. I contacted Russ White about possibly looking inside and changing any relays that were bad. Russ agreed it was worth it. Meanwhile I found this guy on ebay that rebuilds them. $420 with a $100 refund core charge when you return your old one. So for $320 with a 1 year warranty it is now working properly.

i talked to one of the repair guys and it is 1960's technology in those relays. so i guess they fix them pretty easily.

I haven't sent the box in yet. I'll sell it to you for $100 so you can open it up.
I know you can fix it Tom.
If those solder joints wouldn't keep shrinking I would have tried to fix it myself.
