We fulltimed 21 years in this quality coach. Unfortunately, due to engine problems, we have decided to sell our Newell.

The Newell Classic is located in Oxnard California. There is coolant in the engine oil of the Detroit 6V-T92TA. It will probably require a new head gasket or new engine head to repair (nothing has been torn apart to determine actual repairs/replacement needed.)

The Newell has: 261,371 miles. A Detroit 6V-T92TA turbo and aftercooled diesel. A brand new $4,000 radiator replacement. An Allison 5 speed automatic transmission. All riveted aluminum sides and roof. Set up to live fulltime inside.

So sorry to hear about your misfortune. Sounds like a blown head gasket.....did the engine overheat recently? How long ago did you discover the coolant in the oil?

Yes, the Detroit engine got hot. It happened just before Christmas 2018.

The Newell Classic was sold today. Thanks to those forum members that contacted me with interest in the 1983 Newell that needed towed.
