That is a beautiful coach! Since we're in the market for a Newell I've put together a spreadsheet of all the 2003 and newer Newell coaches that I can find for sale. There are twice as many 2012 models as any other model year. It's there a reason, or is it just coincidence?

Although I have heard here that some Newell owners trade out of their rigs right away, I could see how someone might sell a new coach at about that age.

Any vehicle depreciates some, and degrades some by about that age. What I am saying is that is about the age when something is really no longer new ....

Is it the problematic Cummins 650?

from what i have read it is an issue with the dual cam version and the single cam version is ok. the 650 seems to have the issue more than the 600. dunno what years for sure this happened to. it seems to blow a #6 valve that causes lot of damage.

lots of reading on it online if you do a search for cummins isx650 problems

a 2012 newell probably has a 2010 or 2011 engine in it. maybe even 2009. the 2009 cummins from what i have read is the one with the most problems.

I've read most of the threads and would never buy into this engine, so that rules out most 2012's for me.

The Cummins ISX 650 HP engine was used in about 1/2 of the 2010 Newells, most of the 2011's and most of the 2012's.
