Air leveling system
#1

I am going to replace the solenoid valves on the manual air leveling system. I have purchased the valves, 12 total. There are six in the front and six in the back. I’m wanting to know how they work before I remove them. What l can tell, two are exhaust and two let air in. The other two I’m not sure. There are two of a different style not sure about them also. Does anyone have any information about this? Wiring Schematic or how they are piped in?

Good information! Thanks Richard. So I got all the solenoid valves replaced. Don’t have the air leaks I had before I replace the solenoids. The problem I’m still having is that in the park mode I can’t get the left side to air up. The right side airs up just fine. And in the travel mode both sides air up just fine. Any help would be appreciated.

Ok, a couple of questions.

Does the coach raise and lower properly when in Leveling mode?

Have you checked the travel solenoids to see if the left one is getting power?

You didn’t mention height control valve. When in travel mode, do you have safe way of disconnecting the vertical rod where it attaches to the axle? If you do, you can manually move it up or down to see if you get the system to respond.

And if the HCV was replace during the pneumatic work, could it be plumbed backwards?

Thanks, I will check them next week. I have a appointment to go to a place that has a pit. I want to check the air tanks for water in them.

I haven’t replaced the HCV. The bus levels up great in the travel mode.

In park mode I can’t get the left side front and back to raise up. It’s coming up a little bit (2”)
The right side airs up fine.

I have checked the solenoid valves and they are getting 12v.

I am trying to picture what you describe.

When you are trying to raise the coach while in Leveling (Park) mode. Are you raising from normal travel height or or you lowering the coach all the way down on both side and trying to raise?

I am assuming you have the old school manual system with toggle switches? Can you post a picture of the switch layout? Perhaps we can try the front or back separately but I need to see the switches to know which ones to activate.

What is your air pressure when trying to raise the coach?

First thing, raise the compressor to 120. 90 psi will not raise the rear of some coaches.
